More Spring Updates

Here are a few updates for the next few weeks:

PARCC Testing:

Wednesday, April 20th-Friday, April 22nd - Language Arts

Monday, April 25th-Wednesday April 27th, Friday April 29th - Mathematics

Olive Garden:

May 3rd- Bus leaves at 11:15am and will return by 1:00pm.  No need to pack lunch that day!

The Aquarium:

May 25th- More information to come.

Things have been so busy, I apologize for not updating the blog sooner!
We have been enjoying Dr. Seuss Read Across America Week!  Here are some important dates to keep in mind:
March 17th- Spring Pictures and St. Patrick's DayMarch 25th-April 4th - Spring Break

Also, our field trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 25th and we will be going to the Adventure Aquarium!

I sent home a newsletter yesterday.  Please let me know if you need another copy or have any questions or concerns.

Midway Point

Midway Point

It is now the midway point in the year.  Your child has taken the Winter MAP test to monitor his or her progress this year.  I am excited to share the results with you and discuss any concerns you may have.  I will be taking time in the next couple weeks to call and talk about these things.  Please update me with any changed phone numbers or if there is a time that is better to reach you.  I hope you had a super, snowy weekend and I look forward to talking to each of you.

Also, if your child has Reading with me we are still working towards the 15 book challenge.  Many students have shown me their recording sheet and are doing well!  Contact me with any questions or concerns.

I am really have a blast teaching your children and hope they continue to love coming to school.  Please inform me if this changes and how I can help.  I truly believe we are partners in your child's education.

***Unofficial Field Trip information***

We have requested to go to the Adventure Aquarium on Wednesday, May 25th.  Please mark your calendars and I will notify you when it is official!

Winter is Almost Here

Our class worked hard on our new Winter inspired bulletin board.  Miss Mustaro did a great job of inspiring the class to write creative tales of getting trapped in a snow globe.
